Mendes Brothers BJJ Seminars @ Informed Performance

    I hate being the first one to mention 2010 but we have a pretty exciting seminar coming up in early February.

    2009 ADCC champion Rafael Mendes and his brother Guilherme will be at Informed Performance/Drysdale Jiu Jitsu for two days of seminars on February 3rd and 4th.

    Seminar places will once again be extremely limited. We really limited the Drysdale seminar this year and everyone was pleased with the results and personal attention they got from Robert. We're doing the same here with the guys. The upshot of this is that we're going to take money in advance only as we had a waiting list last time, 4 guys didn't show and that meant 4 people on the list missed out. Here's the details of the seminars:

    Wednesday February 3rd- No gi- 50euro
    Thursday February 4th- BJJ (gi)- 50euro
    Both seminars together 90euro

    Hi all,

    sorry for not getting back to anyone who has pmed me but I've been busy Christmassing myself.

    The seminars are now open to book into. I've been just too damn busy to do anything with them. As I've stated before, we're going to try to keep this small and limited. For this reason we're going to do prepay only. I know this might be awkward but it really will enhance the experience for everyone involved. If we don't do prepay, then we'll have to overbook the seminars so we get covered and don't lose on it. So if you want to book in, you can email me barry@informedperformance.com and I'll send you the payment details.

    I've spent the last 20 minutes watching Rafael's final from the ADCC. It sounds obvious but it's another level.

    Do you have any idea what times the seminars will be at?

    I assume evening as they are weekdays??

    Only saw this now.

    We're looking at 7pm-10pm. They'll probably be available for privates too as they're with us from the 1st but I'll have details of that when they become available.

    Just 2 weeks to go for these. The lads are amazing grapplers I would encourage anyone who is serious about their grappling training, gi or nogi, to try to attend.

    Bump. Picked them up from the airport and holy crap these guys are young! Should be some space on these for show ups tomorrow and Thursday. Can't wait now.

    Great night at the nogi last night. These guys are absolutely unbelievable. Everyone I spoke to last night and this morning have been raving about it. The guys showed some great half guard passing and sweeping and some really good closed guard stuff that was so simple to look at but really opened my eyes to some stuff I'd been doing wrong for years !!!! It was equal parts amazing and depressing as these guys are just 20 and 21. I'm so old.

    There are still 5 spaces left for tonight's seminar in the gi and if you have the opportunity, you should come. I can't wait.

    Well said Chris. I passed that on to the lads but something was lost in the translation which is probably why they wouldn't roll with you tonight.

    Another great night tonight. I had the pleasure of a session with the guys this evening on their own and they were great.

    Just want to say ,Thanks to Barry & the lads, for a warm welcome @ the seminar last night.
    It was a great opportunity to learn from both Raf & Guil. The amount of detail that these guys shared & how open they were, was fantastic. Every question was answered, I think the Q&A went on until 10:30, unbelievable the level of info these guys shared and the details they provided.

    I'd highly recommend anyone to train with the Mendez Bro's. Really enjoyed it.
