Hi there, I know this is probably asked 100 times over but I cant seem to find a definitive answer on this.

What is the best of the "Mobile" Broadbands, what I eman is I need something taht will work in a number of places ie Dublin, Cork, south Tipperary

I am open to any of the O2,3, vodaphone etc but I am also open to Irish broadband and any of that type of provider. ability to download music etc would be excellent but the main point would be to log in for work purposes

any help would be great, I don't want to jump into anything yet

Thanks (and mods, please move to app forum as you see fit)

Providers that are good in one area may not be in another as it depends on how popular they are...the more popular in a area will often mean they are slower.

Best bet is trial them out and see

Rule out Meteor if you're going to be moving around, their 3G network is quite new, and not very extensive. Three's is over subscribed, and they have no 2G fall back.

Basically, Vodafone and O2 are your choices.

    Thanks for the response guys.
What about the likes of Irish Broadband, The Plug in Modem?

What about the likes of Irish Broadband, The Plug in Modem?

You mean the one with the extremely limited coverage and absolutely no user feedback about it? Doesn't sound too inspiring.

As Cabaal said. It's best to try them all out.

Seems his options are down to Three and Vodafone, so I'd say not Three ;)

Do 02 still do their 30 day trial where you can cancel it at no cost?. Do Vodafone do similar?.

O2 give a free modem for 48 or 72 hours, so you can try it out. You need to leave a deposit, and to return the modem within the time frame. I don't think Vodafone give any free trial any more.

you seem to be very reluctant on choosing 3 ..in this thread you have said nithing but 'not 3 ' why not let him try them all o2 voda 3 and see which one performs the best you also say 3 is over subscribed ?? i believe that o2 and vodafone would have more customers since they seem to be the more popular than 3 at the moment ..but hey yu dont know unless you try them all out meteor would not be a great option giving that their 3G barely covers very much areas :D:D
