As today is December 7th - the 68th anniversary of the Japaneese attack on America at pearl harbour here are some links to the Irish Times archive showing how it was reported in the immediate aftermath;

its been 68 years. the most well known date of ww2 is probly 6 th june 1944.

not many people know the start end dates etc....

Aye, 68th anniversary dosen't really trip off the tongue. I'm surprised there wasn't a channel showing Tora Tora Tora today, now theres a great film and no mistake.

An excellent film and approx. 100 times better than that shyte a few years back starring that ' pretty boy ' Ben Affleck
