A bit OT I know is the point in a boxy starlet?

I know the older one was RWD so had some allure, but this *thing*. My mother had one years ago. It was vile and had no redeeming features.

You're talking about my first car there buddy, still holds a special place for me.

Redeeming feature of mine was the lovely brown colour it was painted, so the huge amounts of rust it had didn't show up too much

RWD and a huge amount of space in the engine bay mean it could be modified for a decent amount of power. My engine looked lost and I had the top of the range 1.3GL 5 door (5 speed).

As unlikely as it sounds, they can be made to look quite nice, and it's a trend, same reason people buy old Nova's, "Box cars" can look exceptional if done properly.
