I did the 50k option at this event a couple of years ago...this is a very basic event...don't expect extraordinary high organisational standards by any means.

I know how basic it is m8 dont worry. Im meeting a few peoplle from a uk running website over there. The 50k ultra has been cancelled. There are no mile markers on the course and i have to get a plane , bus and train to get there. Unless you know a more direct route?

I went via Bristol on the way over and got a lift to the race. On the way home it was a train to Birmingham Airport and home from there.

    Enjoy!

A friend of mine is arriving in to Bristol at 21:30 on Saturday night on the Ryanair flight from Dublin and is returning on Sunday at 19:10 from Bristol and was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing either of the taxis to/from Gloucester with him. If you private message me an email address or mobile number I will forward you his contact details so ye can make your own arrangements. The fare each way is approximately £50 to £60 so obviously he would be keen to half one or both of these if at all possible.

Was chatting with a lad at training yesterday who will be running this one and thought that I was daft enough to run around laps for a marathon. I put him right about that point though. ;)

Good luck for those of you coming over this way for it though.

Its only 4 laps for the marathon and 5 for the ultra. Nice rural course, undulating. Pb,d there last year and its my first ultra this year so good memories for me there.
