Uk Postal Issues

    I have bought a number of items from the UK as Christmas presents from Play, Amazon, HMV and TheBookPeople and still not received any of them! I placed the orders around the 23rd November and not a single package arrived yet. Anyone else waiting a long time?

    I just searched boards to see if anybody is having post issues. I order lots of stuff regularly from the UK; I get my coffee beans from hasbean.co.uk, I've ordered from them for a couple of years; it used to take about 3 days after they dispatched to get to Dublin. The last package to over two weeks. Everything I get from the UK seems just as slow - bet your stuff turns up in a few days. I doubt the problem is on the UK side but maybe that's just my "this useless country" bias clouding things!

    I think the problem is with the customs at the point of entry for all parcels coming in from other countries.... I have noticed a longer delay over the past couple of years.

    I've bought a fair bit from the UK in the past couple of weeks and have had no problem with parcels not arriving. The longest I've waited is seven days (including the weekend).

    I'm actually living in the UK and my mother in Cork got a parcel ordered literally seconds after mine two weeks before I did! It's totally hit and miss :( Hang on in there!!
