    Hi All

I'm stresssing out big time trying to find a Xmas pressie for the other half. He has asked for a watch off Santy but he's SO fussy about what he wants I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist! What I need is:

    1) Silver or black
    2) Extendable strap ( yes I know!)
    3) Digital - either solely digital or hand + digital combo
    4) Preferable something that looks a little bit trendy

All I've managed to find is one that has only hands (too much hard work for him to read it seems) and one that looks like something DCI Gene Hunt would wear!

Any help at all would be brilliant......

OK I know you asked for digital but I really like the new Accurist range and this one in particular. I currently own 5 watches but this will be my next buy. I think it meets the trendy part :D

    Thanks for that

It's lovely - and it's exactly the type of watch I'd LIKE to get him but as I said he is SO fussy and it's the strap that's the problem

He's INSISTING on one of those awful stretchy extendable straps - and I really don't think anyone makes watches with those straps that are in any way trendy at all do they......??

OP talk to your other half and tell him that you're having difficulty finding this particular watch. Ask him is there a shop or something around that possibly sells something like this.

I had the same problem with my Dad with the strap. In the end I bought a watch with normal strap. I took it into my local jewellers and got them to changed the strap to an extendable strap.

    Something like this?

Out of stock but google around and you should find it.

Yeah - that's the strap exactly.

What do people think of the face? Is it not a bit 80's??? It's kinda what I know he's looking for - but he's only 30 and i don't want to get him a grandad watch!

I know he's like something modern (he's got a watch on his arm that I reckon is about 15 years old and tells whatever time it likes!) but he's really set in his ways when it comes to the strap. I know from experience cos I've bought him 2 watches over the years, one with a bracelet strap and one with a leather one and he doesn't wear either cos he doesn't like how they either swing on his arm or the end of the strap sticks out!

And i couldn't possiby ask him cos then he'd know what Santy was bringing him!!!!

Some guys like vintage. I like those straps myself but I'm a Swatch man.

I have not seen too many watches with the type of strap lately. Maybe go into a few jewellers and ask them do they still stock those straps and then you can look for the watch.
