I really liked Young Team but I found Come on Die Young to be very underwhelming. I have just listened to the first track from Mr.Beast and it is absolutely fantastic; my question is should I buy the rest of the album? Or does it simply drop from the first track?

    Ah I couldn't resist, sure it's only a tenner.

I love Young Team! Especially `Mogwai Fear Satan` :) and Mr. Beast is brilliant too. Mogwai is very good music to study to :pac:

I'd say they're amazing live. Has anyone seen them?

I saw them at Oxegen. Seriously underwhelming. Their set got better as it went on though and I think it finished with Mogwai Fear Satan. They were one of the bands I was genuinely looking forward to seeing though, so I think it was the lack of atmosphere in the crowd that put me off

I've seen them about a million times, yes they are amazing live.

Everyone should own a copy of every Mogwai album.

And they really are amazing live, Oxegen certainly would not be the ideal place to see them.

They've never come close to topping 'Young Team'. Wonderful band, mind.

Amazing band, have not had the pleasure of seeing them live yet....
Hunted By A Freak is probably my favourite track, with Auto Rock a close second. The Zidane soundtrack is class too, must get my hands on their BBC sessions...

I think they're one of the few bands which I've not even once been disappointed with a new album. Saw them in the Academy near the start of the year and they were excellent.

Brilliant band. Rock Action and Mr. Beast are both excellent as is everything they do. I liked the newest abum but it hasn't had as much play as the rest of their stuff (yet).
