Insurance on an UK registered van

    Can anybody advise me on how I can insure myself on a UK registered van I have just bought in order to bring it back here to Ireland?

    Online insurance only seems to allow for passenger vehicles, on Irish registrations.

    call Caroline Nash and explain your case. They insured a van on US plates for me in the past so I could get it to the VRO. Mind you, it was on Irish soil. Sure see what they can do for you... :)

    Or ask the seller, if its a private sale to cover the van for open driving in UK & Ireland for a week. Throw him the few extra bob it will cost. Uk insurers are far better for that type of arrangement than Irish ones.
