i ran out of cartridges and went to my local fishing shooting shop just to get a few boxes of 12g number 6s.
all he had were eley maximum 34 gram at 13 euro a box.
i only took 1 box because i was stuck .
i think this i a crazy price for cartridges because i brought cartridges from the north last year for 4.50 pounds per box for kent velocity number 6s.
i also bought 1000 kent number 7.5s for 128 pounds.

Have to agree! have been shooting for twenty odd years now and tried them all! Think GB are a fantastic shell! Use 36 gram sixes for duck, and 32 gram sixes for pheasant! only 8.50 a box. Just remember lads, when ya miss, don`t blame the cartridge!!!

    Far too heavy jw,
Whatever you shoot will blow away in the wind. 32 71/2's or 34's 8's, is more than enough, with a good old tight choke.

you will get far less damage and lead in your pheasant with a 5 using a half choke at 30 yards than a tight choke using a 71/2 or 8 at the same distance.

using a 71/2 or 8 the range you have is limited to 40 yards or less as the light grains will have no energy regardless of choke.

More of often than not - in my experience anyway - you don't have that luxury. Especially if there are a lot of trees about.
