I'd say if you contacted the dealers who previously serviced it they will give you the mileage at each service they did.

It's an 09 car. It may not have done huge mileage more than likely. Check with servicing dealer

My GF just got stung with Kingsley with a clocked car ! So watching every move myself, put 300 down and looking for it back but they wouldn't pick the phone up, do i just go to the small claims ?

@OP, I have bought 5 or 6 cars off Gerry McVeigh in Dungannon, who has that Audi you link to. One of those cars is the C180 that I have been used as my own personal transport for the last 4.5 years. At least 3 of the cars were bought from Gerry on the phone without even seeing them. I would be very surprised if the Audi was clocked.

BTW, at 8000 miles there might be no service history because it may not be due first service. However service book should be present and should have PDI stamp. As with any UK car, if there is no service book you should walk away.

Bought the Car and these guys are easy to dEal with, dropped the Car to Dublin and took a Euro Daft at a great rate, saved 7K in total.

VRT is not high, don't know what the other guy was on about ?

Thanks to Sean Lifer above for the advise re Gerry McVeigh cars in Dungannon. I just purchased An 08 Audi A6 over the phone from http://www.gerrymcveighcars.com/opening.asp because I assumed them to be professional dealers in the trade. Before you think im mad to do such a thing Ive done it before with sytner bmw in the uk with no problems. This time I was to be proved wrong. The car was delivered to me which was handy but costly in the long run. The car is an ex lease from vw in the uk sold at auctions. The car is covered in scrapes all over inside and out. The car was not "crashed" but damaged and it looks like someone got a spray can to the rear of the car to respray it. I rang Gerry Immediately and he organised to have the car picked up to go to the body shop. A week later I managed to get hold of him and what did he say " we buffed it up". This is the problem when you slip up and dont buy from a reputable dealer.

As far as im concerned the sales man said the " car was on its toes" so he gave a false description which I passed on to www.consumerline.org.Has anybody any advise what else I can do. Should I hire a solicitor in NI or the republic?

The cars at Gerry McVeighs are only a few hundred cheaper than quality cars at www.audi.co.uk dont make the same mistake I did.

It's madness to buy any car from anyone without examining it and doing all the checks. You might be lucky, but that's all it is - luck.
