B&W Zepplin ipod dock

Hi all,

I'm in the states at the mo - on the verge of buying a B&W Zeppelin ipod dock.

Has anyone got any advice? It's $600 so if someone could talk me out of it that'd be great

I see it is €429 in cloney's here, so you are not really getting a good deal.

$600 =~ €400 at best, and you either run the risk of getting stung for VAT bringing it back, or you have to "worry" of firing it onto the plane in your luggage.

I know I'd spend the €29 extra here and spend the $$ on something like clothes that is packable in luggage.

Is the one in Cloneys the "proper" one or the mini one?

I'd get it there altogether at that price - I saw it in the UK over the summer for ~£600

It's the proper one for €429 for the sake of a few Euro difference which will probably be spent on a power convertor or new adaptor, to get the Cloney audio customer service, warranty etc you'd be mad to buy it over there.

Edit: On a separate note, they are an amazing piece of kit, I'm a big Bowers & Wilkens fan, if I had the space, or a few less B&W speakers already in the house I'd have one of the Zeppelins already!

having heard both, think i'd go for the mini myself, for a much nicer form factor you're not losing a lot on sound
