3BA exam repeats

    Hey Guys!

    First time poster, long time reader.

    I was wondering does anyone know when the resits take place for 3BA first semester exams for 2009/10. I can't find anything on the college website specifies for 3BA. Is it following the rest of the college having all the repeats in August? or as it was for first and second Arts with the repeats at the end of May?. I should be more confident about my exams next week but I'm not! :confused:

    3BA repeats are scheduled for early August. Attempts had been made to semesterise completely all years (which was done) and to move towards a model where all repeats would be held in May. If you've just done 1BA and 2BA, you were part of the first cohort who had the repeat exams in May rather than in August. The thinking behind it was that academics could focus on postgrad/research in August. (I'm talking specifically about Arts here, of course - not relevant for other Colleges)
    However, last summer, Exams Office decided they were unable to manage scheduling all repeats in May and the model was abandoned. For some strange reason, however, we are stuck midstream, with no indication that 1BA or 2BA will revert to August.
    Therefore, should things not go too well tomorrow/this week, repeat/second sittings for 3BA will be held in the 'traditional' exam period, ie August.
    Hope exams go well and you won't have to come back in August!

    Hi,
    Sorry to go slightly OT but does anyone know when the 3BA summer exams (the first sitting) finish? I'm getting different dates from everyone.
