Every year we try to get Dad something cool or interesting, and we just end up with the socks, shaving stuff, petrol/voucher routine. And he likes that, so we're not really bothered.

This year I'm actually thinking of getting one gift that will look after the parents and two sisters. A nice shiny new TV. Think it would be well received.

Only one flaw, how do you explain it's set up on your room?

    1) It's "Christmas"
    2) Dunno whether it's politically correct to say so, but most people have only one dad

Aside from that, there's an R.I.P. relevant here, so unfortunately don't have the opportunity to get him anything.
The latest book that Jimmy Magee puts out

Jimmy Magee still puts out ????? :D That's "sporting" of him!! :D

I never know what to get him. Always go for a nice wool jumper or something. Or aftershave. Whiskey works too!

Nope its just a way of avoiding the usual idiots chiming in with "Oh my dad is dead, thanks for reminding me"

 WTF is this post about ? Most of us don't need "reminding" if our dad is dead; we remember every day. But it's a fact of life - nothing we can do about it.

But since your original question implies that you have more than one, you should be OK...... :D

I'd rather be an idiot than show my ignorance with a post like that!

    A Southampton Football Jersey.

He is over 50 now and has been a fan of the team since he was 17/18
due to the fact that there was a guy he knew on the team.

In all that time he has never owned a jersey and I think it is about
    time he got one. :)

    Awwww.

He'd be better off with a Man U jersey though. ;)
