    i will be looking for a new road bike soon. i was thinking of a frame and build , but from the maths this is approx 25 percent more than buying a complete bike,
    the two bikes were Cube Agree Pro Bike '10
    or a trek 2.3 2010 model

    can the cube be only got from the cycle superstore or can i get my local bike shop to get me one ??

    the cube seems to be good value compared to the trek especilly with ultegra components ?

    is threre an agent for focus bikes inn
    ireland ?


    what would be your opinion be ?

    Don't know about the Focus so I can't comment on it , but I have the Trek 2.3 2010 model and she's a beauty , lively and great looker ......but having said that I would be biased .

    Get a Planet X from the internet. Better than any of those bikes for less money. £999 buys you a full carbon frame, full carbon fork and full Ultegra 6700 groupset.

    i think the cube is the best value and i like the look of it. the only problem is i would prefer to deal with local lbs , as there service is good also anytime i got work done or bought anything there. if he cant get the cube i will buy the 2.3 trek. does the trek come in other colours than white ?:cool:

    No that's the only colour for the 2010 model .

    Bought one of these the other day and found it fantastic. 2009 model on the second hand market was a bargain compared to the €600 odd you'll pay for a new 2010 one.

    i have an orbea onix 2008 with rival groupset which i picked up this year for 1000 as it was old stock, for me the 08 models are much nicer, the bike itself is very good for me but i have not tried too many decent bikes so cant be very objective about it, all i do know is that for a full carbon bike with rival it is very difficult to do better price wise apart from perhaps the planet x which is rated here.

    i thik everyone agrees to buy a complete bike rather than a frameset and build then ?

    def better value i think anyway.

    i think alloy frame,carbon fork, 105 group,mavic cosmic elite wheels

    build would cost approx 2000 euro from my estimate, not good compared to 1600 for trek 2.3 ?

    or cube and ultegra 6700 for 1600 euros
