Spray painting ceramics

If I wanted to spray paint some plain white crockery, what kind of paint should I use? Also, is there some kind of spray glaze that can then be applied?

I don't think getting some bisque, painting a glazing/firing is going to be an option, so the crockery will probably have to be basic glazed store bought stuff.

    Thanks.

    Edit

It doesnt necessarily have to be fit for use for food, though that would be nice.

I know you can get ceramic pens, which you draw onto your crockery with and bake for a little while and voila? not sure they need glaze..... hmmm...... not sure about spray paint to be honest!
