Why not use an Irish retailer? like eirsoft.ie or airsofteire.ie i think it's called.
There's a ton of them out there..no worries about customs seizing your guns etc.

    Try Southeast Airsoft here: http://www.seairsoft.net/
    Hobby Airsoft: www.hobbyairsoft.ie
    MIA: www.mainirishairsoft.com
    eirsoft: http://www.eirsoft.ie/

would recommend hobby airsoft and southeast airsoft the lads will look after ya and and are very customer focused. and no customs to worry about also ya will have your order in a day or two.

Best bet is go to a walk in store and have a feel. its amazing how your opinions of a rifle can change just by feeling what its like. :)

Any gun you import will have to be downgraded, and vat payed on.

I'd thoroughly recommend Eirsoft, Hobby Airsoft and SEairsoft for their outstanding focus on their customers. Any questions you have are promptly answered, and you never feel like you're wasting their time. You can go in, have a gander at all the pretty replicas, and decide which you want :)

PS: I've a few JG stuff, and have 0 complaints

I'd recommend going to a retailer, checking their stuff out and seeing what you like. Even try different brands of the same type as some are much nicer than others. Also remember that taste is subjective, I much prefer Star and Ares G36s over CAs but lost of people would happily choose a CA first.

I'd also buy from a retailer here, you're not going to make a big saving if you get hit for VAT and may find the downgrade is performed shoddily. It's also getting awful close to last orders for personal imports.
