just wondering what size stem should i get,

i am about 6ft2 and am currently running a stem of 110 on a 20.5 mountainbike. The reason im looking into changing the stem is because i get a pain at the top of my neck after riding. im not sure if this is because during the ride i dont move the neck around enough or what but am thinking it could be the stem size.

previously i had riser handlebars but changed to flat for better control, this might have effected the positioning,

    any idears?

Well, if you're getting a sore neck it suggests there's SOMETHING wrong with your setup. Possibly your bars or too low (requiring more spacers under the stem or a stem with more rise) or they're too far away (requiring a shorter stem).

    What's the bike?

Did you find you had more control with flat bars?

thanks for the response morgan, the bike is a grand canyon 7.0, here

i much prefer the bars for handling both going up and down hill, the only area where they are not as comfortable are on the flat but i have added bar ends to add a change of position.

Is it safe to add risers under a stem like this, at the moment the steerer tube is up to the top of the inside of the stem,so i can just add spacers underneath?

hopefully dont have to replace the stem because its pretty decent
