    Garmin 765T from Amazon.co.uk - £179.60 stg, inc. shipping.
You will not get a better Garmin sat nav, with the features you are looking for.

    (I have one myself - so I'm biased :D )

I might be wrong, but I think the 765T is the only 765 available, if you get me?
The "T" bit stands for Traffic, and is a receiver that plugs into the sat nav to pick up radio signals, containing traffic updates. This is a great feature, and the sat nav can suggest different routes, depending on this information.

However, it's not supported in Ireland, so I wouldn't pay extra for the feature. Like I said, I think all 765s come with this receiver as standard.

The 765 has been out about a year. There are newer models, but not with the same range of features for the price.

Why not have a look at the Garmin Compare web page?

mysatnav.ie are a good company, and if you want to find a company, in Ireland, then use them, or Komplett.ie, who also have some good prices.

    Here it is:

Garmin 765T : lists the price as £169.99, but when you add it to your shopping basket, they charge you the Irish VAT rate, and the price increases to £179.60. I did this myself two weeks ago, so that's how I know :( Free shipping though, so kinda evens out.

BTW - there's also satnaveasy.co.uk who have the 765T for £163.30 inc. a free case, but you have to pay an extra £10 for shipping. I haven't dealt with them myself, and I haven't a clue if they charge Irish VAT.

If there's anything else you want to know about the 765, before you make a decision, just ask.

    :)

Thanks again mrmac just ordered one from satnaveasy £173 with case, they also sell on ebay so i asked them a few questions and the were very helpful.Mysatnav.ie seem very pricey at €255 for the same sat nav.

I've never dealt with them myself, but others have said good things about them, so I'd appreciate your feedback.

When you get the unit, set up an account with Garmin, and register the sat nav. When you log in to myGarmin, it's likely you'll need to update the sat navs software, but it fairly automatic, and takes about 10 minutes, so don't worry.

    :)

I got the sat nav a few days after ordering, but had to keep it in box as it was a christmas present.Anyway went to Dublin airport the other day and the first thing i noticed is the sound is terrible on it and her voice is also very annoying, turned the sound up full volume and can still barely hear it.Set up the bluetooth and everything seemed fine until i tried to make a call and nothing, couldn't recieve calls also and then to top it off when i turned the sat nav off and put back on it will not connect with my phone.I have updated the software and have downloaded the new map but for the life of me i can't get the new mapon to the sat nav, please help.Have an old nuvi 310 and the sound is amazing on it and can leave the radio on with it.

    What phone are you using?
I have mine paired with a SE W580i, and it works flawlessly, connects straight away, dials out no problem.

    As for the volume.
Have you installed all the latest updates, including any voice updates, through WebUpdater?
Did you do a "Hard Reset" afterwards? (Note: this will delete any personal info. you may have on the unit!)
