Did you go to the accessories section of the settings menu on the xmb? In the accessories section, go to manage bluetooth devices. Click register new device. It should start searching for a device. Now open the mic while holding down the p button. It should appear on screen as ORB PS3 Bluetooth Headset. Select it and enter passcode of 0000. It should now be paired with console.

Do you wait until the PS3 finds the headset until you open the mic ?

while the ps3 is searching for the device, hold down the p button and extend the mic. It should then be found by ps3.

I had the same problem with it. I think what I did was leave go of the button just after (or as, I can't remember fully) I opened the mic. I think that solves it.

    Hope that works.....

    FORGET MY LAST POST.
do it this way if the instruction manuals way doesnt work!
"Hold the P button down for 5 Seconds extend the microphone and then remove your finger from the P button". This has been a issue that some customers have discovered and been amended in all new ORB Bluetooth headsets manual.

After reading this thread I decided to delete and reinstall my orb headset and it worked again. What I did was, after going to accessory settings, manage bluetooth devices and add new, start scanning, was hold the P button until the LED went steady red. Then extended the mic and it came up on the screen as ORB PS3 Headset. Select and enter passcode of 0000. Done:D
