    It was refreshing and uplifting to hear Liam Doran outline his vision of the future direction of the Health Service.

    This contrasts sharply with the demands for additional resources that we are more used to hearing from the Public Sector Unions.

    It would appear that we have established a consensus that:
    a) Public service provision can be improved without additional resources;
    b) The Public Service is overstaffed (it must be if the unions are proposing 12 days off per person)
    c) Urgent improvements are needed in the delivery of all services provided by the public service
    d) the country is broke and can't afford to pay any more.

    This consensus having been reached, it is obvious to me that as past performance clearly demonstrates that progress by negotiation has been unsuccessful, now is the time for it to be imposed.

    I agree, Liam is a man apart.

    Anyone who thinks John Q. Taxpayer is some kind of ree who can't see that the HSE is a monolith which is absorbing taxpayers money like a MaxiPad,and whose employees have refused to change, budge, move, or do anything but absorb more and more taxpayers money, for no other reason other than to improve their already good conditions .

    Liam you are one great guy if you think that John Q. will swallow that one.

    Game is up Liam,you want the public sehvice to bleed us dry and while we wallow in damp bedsits your members swan off to Bulgaria or Portugal to their Summer houses and while we exist on Cream Crackers and cheese in our old age your members will dine on the fat of the hog and enjoy a happy retirement in South Florida.

    :D Think we have copped you on Liam?? Don't you.;)
