Well, we're in the closing few weeks of this entire decade. There won't be two 0's side by side in a year until the year 2100. So where's the bit of a nostalgia?

How will you remember this decade? Where were you in life 10 years ago? Where are you in life now? Where d'you think/hope you'll be in 10 years time? Would you say it's been overall positive or overall negative?

    Just a reminder...
    George Bush
    9/11
    Mobile Phones
    MP3's
    The Internet
    War in Iraq
    Oil crisis
    Celtic Tiger
    Bertie Ahern
    St. Stephen's Day tsunami (2007 I think, maybe 2006)
    Flooding in Ireland
    Hurricane Katrina
    Climate Change

We all hoped we'd begin and end the millenium with world peace and prosperity...ha. Sort of proves the year number really doesn't mean much.

The decade Fianna Fail was exposed for what it really is.

    Negative.

    9/11
    George Bush
    Iraq
    Afghanistan
    Tsunami
    Recession
    Michael Jackson's death

    Not a great decade tbh

For me its gone very quick. Its only like the other day I was watching 9/11 unfold on the news the day before I started college. Certainly doesnt feel like the bones of 10 years ago.

It's not the end of the decade. End of the decade is 31/12/2010.

I love how you can always spark debate in even the most mundane of threads, Mr. Confab.
