    Hi everyone!

I'll have around €2,500 to spend by summer. Not necessarily looking for work either like the J1, but I'd like to do something productive but also travel wise, can anyone recommend anything?? I'd love to go away even for 6 weeks and do something...there must be something apart from work that's fun and interesting and also great destinations not too expensive though...sort of similar to other threads on here, just wondering has anyone any suggestions given my circumstances?

    Thanks for any reply!!!

What are your interests? If you like Thai cookery go to Thailand and do a cookery course. If you like watching passionate football games go to South American, if u like trainspotting go to eastern Europe.

There's loads of stuff out there, you just gotta know what you want, pack a backpack and go

Have you thought about maybe a volunteer holiday? Like south America somewhere? There's some great deals from 2-6weeks you can do. And they'd look great on your CV! :D

They vary from teaching english [You get a 30 hour training session usually, depending who you choose to volunteer with], perhaps a sports coach, or there's pretty cool animal ones like turtles, monkeys, elephants etc... As there are a lot of festivals in summer on south America, there are also sort of "Help set up and organise" kinda of things if you're into it. Or there are some general touring trips you can take.

http://www.i-to-i.com/ have some seriously fantastic deals for all over the world, inc South and North America.

Give em a look, they have packages for anyone and everyone! They usually work with USIT travel and I think they've an office on Cork or somewhere around there.
