Its as if I just got a new computer with nothing on it. Was working perfectly lastnite havent a clue what happened even my Programmes have de-activeated themselves. Has this happened to anyone before? I feel sick.. oh god. :(

Did you accidentally do some sort of system restore/reinstall from scratch.

Although that's a bloody hard thing to do accidentally. The only way to loose *everything* like that is if the disk either explodes, or was formatted somehow, then reinstalled.

Thats the thing I cant understand, last thing I did on it last night was check emails then shut it down and when I turned it on this morning it was gone. Really cant understand it as I was the only one who had access to it so its not like anyone was messing around with it. Its like someone set up a new account and I logged into that by accident but as I am the only user it just doesnt make sense to me. There was thunder and lightening in my area a few days ago and also a friend of mine borrowed it for an evening for some music but I have shut it down and turned it on many times since then so unless it is a very delayed reaction to it. Is that possible?

Seem to be related. It might be the same OSX bug, in which case you're pretty much screwed. Data recovery software might be able to find the files on your HDD, if you're lucky.... but that's hit and miss.
