How bad do you have to be before you cry off from a match?

    1. Blocked nose
    2. Sore Throat
    3. Muscle stiffness
    4. Dizzyness

    ?????

If you are dead, you can cry off.
If you have lost a limb, you can cry off.
If you're on a promise from her hotter sister, you can cry off.
Other than that, you know you're better than him, but you better turn up just to make sure!

    Apply basic man code.

If you're getting your hole, it's ok to cry off.

If you're sick, you have to at least turn up, and be told to fcuk off home.

If you're hungover, be a man and take it.

One of my former team mates wasn't able/allowed to play a game because it was his girlfriends and she didn't want him to have marks on his face if they went out for dinner with her folks.

Needless to say he was the tackle bag for the next 2 training sessions we had.

Just say you have a bout of 'man-flu' all will be forgiven.

I try not to cry off games as I love playing rugby.

It has worked against me big time. A few seasons ago, I screwed up my knee and wasn't able to walk for a few days. But by the following
Sunday I was able to and decided I'd play. The same injury happened. This happened for about four or five weeks before I eventually stopped for the season. The following season was grand but then last year, I got the same injury. I wasn't walking properly or without pain for a while so I went to the doctor (imagine that going to the doctor when injured.) It turns out that cartilage in my knee was torn from one side to another and now I'm missing this year and hope to be back for next year.

    I've learned my lesson, if I think I'm injured, I won't play a match.

Ouch I feel for you and I think you make a very good point.
I completly agree for a physical injury but I wonder what you think if you have a cold / man flu as we all get this time of year. I have reffed a few times with soar throats, heavy colds, man flu, chesty coughs and got on ok.

It'd take an awful lot for me to cry off a match. If ever I get injured I have to be dragged off the pitch. Broke my hand and played on until my captain ordered me off because I couldn't catch the ball in the line out any more or bind to our prop in scrums.

I just love playing rugby. Can't wait for my match this afternoon :)

Played with the flu 3 times last year, cried off once.
If I have any sort of muscle injury, and its one of those that I think "Its just not worth risking it", then I dont play. Coz its not worth risking it :)

For why, see Risteards post above :D

Missed all of our preseason games this year because I had a "tweak" in the achilles tendon area. A guy had torn his achilles tendon in one of those preseason games, so that help to reinforce my opinion of "No f*****g way" :)
