    Hi all,

Bought a new van, no tax disc on the window, but on mywheels.ie it says the tax expired in 2005!!!! Is that more or less correct with tax issues?

Do I still go to the garda station to fill in an 'off the road' form? Also, im in Cork, I assume you go to the normal car tax centre with van tax?

You only have to tax from the begining of the month in which you assumed ownership, anything before that is nothing to do with you. That said, it's very strange that mywheels would say that the van's been untaxed for four years. Does it have a service history for that period?

Might also need a DOE test before it can be taxed.
