Low flying aricraft Athlone

    Virtually everyday two airplanes make a fast low pass over Athlone, sometimes more than once a day. I have only really heard them, by the time I get outside to look they are gone! From the noise they seem to be flying one behind the other. Anybody got any ideas as to what they are?

    Are they like army planes? I live in the midlands and have seen 2 planes almost every day fly over. They are not jet planes, but something like army planes, they go so fast... wonder what they're up to.... :confused:

    Yeah our Air Corps doesn't have Jet planes. I imagine they're just doing training exercises.
