    Hi Guys,

This is my first thread so i hope im posting in the right place.

Im trying to get hold of an e-mail address for Bernard Dunne or his manager. You see i want to get a signed picture or poster of Bernard as a surprise for my fiance for christmas. So even if you could direct me in the right direction that would be class!

We recently bought signed gloves that Bernard wore while training when he had his belt. We spent quiet a bit on them in an auction and my fiance wants to put them in a frame.

I thought it would be a nice surprise to get a signed picture for putting behind them in a frame but i cant find out anywhere, where i might be able to get my hands on him. I know my Fiance would be absolutley delighted with it.

Can anybody help me make my fiance grin ear to ear this chirstmas, please time is running out. . . . .

    Thanks a million !!!! :D

I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find him. Where does he train?

As an aside: I have a 6'x4' piece of canvass with a Bernard Dunne-shaped imprint in it if you're interested?

I have one - not sure what condition its in - dont know where in the house it is.

it was taken ringside after he knocked Cordoba and signed at the announcement of his next fight....if I cant find it I can email you a pic of him holding the belt inside or outside of the O2. (I have both)

    Ps. I work as a photographer !

    shut up ya dickhead!!!

Ireland's best current boxer, an outstanding amateur who participated in and won possibly the most exciting fight I have ever seen and definately the best atomosphere of any event (sporting, music or other) that I have ever been to.

I'd be proud to have a signed picture or the man.

no need for the insults and if you think he participated in one of the most exciting fights you have ever seen then you need to look at more boxing matches

I think Johnmike has come on to get under peoples skin about Dunne and get someone to bite, I wouldn't bother with him he doesn't seem to know what a good boxing fight entails

Unless you can travel the world to watch fights live you will be hard pressed to see better live action. I was in the point when he beat Pickering and the atmosphere was amazing. I can only imagine what it was like vs Cordoba.
Start another thread if you want to discuss his abilities etc. There is never a shortage of opinions.

A signed picture would be awesome.

I have no problems with anyone who isn't a fan of Dunne, but you said the wba fight wasn't very good, which I dont agree with, he was world boxer of the month based on that fight, at least give the guy some credit he is due. I'd say he has inspired a lot of people based on that fight, so wanting his autograph isn't unbelievable.

It seems to be the former boxers who have a problem with Dunne, I wonder why that is? Envy perhaps? :D His talent is undeniable and he is one of the most exciting fighters this country has ever produced so why any boxing fan wouldn't want a signed picture of him should be the question.

Can't remember which guys it was but one of the Ring Magazine writers has Dunne v Cordoba in the top three fights this year and i wouldn't disagree.

Do think he's a bit overrated for what he has achieved, the title he held wasn't the official world title but an iterim tilte put in place while the main champ is unifying belts / fighting in a higher weight class.

i've a lot of respect for BD and he's a very entertaining fighter and our best at the moment but i don't see him consistantly challenging at the highest level.

I think is was HBO's Max Kellermen who said it was "the" action fight of the year. I dont think Dunne is overrated - many never rated him in the first place. But that fight and his achievement that night can not be scoffed at. P.S. He did hold the official title - Poonsawat held the interim - but Caballero held the "super title".

Caballero holds the unified WBA title which is both the WBA & IBF at the moment and the only reason Dunne won the WBA "regular" title is because Caballero had unified belts and the WBA created this interim / "regular" belt for there own marketing purposes to keep their organisations name out there. Caballero is and was at the time of Dunne holding the belt the "real" WBA world champion.

Not taking anything away from Dunne but a lot of people looking in on the sport without following it don't know that.

I agree that Cabellero was the "true" champion but I was just pointing out that it was Poonsawat that held the interim not Dunne. So the WBA had three champions at the time - what a farce, its all about sancitioning fees with them.

i know your not taking away from bernard but he was a world champion. soften i what ever way you like but its still true. he was a world champion, period!

i know all this is off topic! it was meant to be a girl trying to get a signed picture for her boyfrind not weather he is good or not or a nice bloke or not.

In my opinion he wasnt a world champion - he held a version of a version of the world title. Thats the fact of a matter. It's been discussed numerous times here but the truth is that Cabellero was the true WBA title holder. Fair play to Dunne for facing the mandatory challenger (which the super champion doesnt have to do) especially a mandatory challenger such as Poonsawat. Many other would walk away from their title rather than do it - e.g. will Khan walk away from his WBA world title if he is forced to fight Maidana?

i totally agree, he wasn't "the" world champion for the WBA and there is no arguing that he was because it's simply not true but he did fight like one and unlike other boxers he didn't dodge any fight put to him. I don't think he dodged Munroe at all but that he had bigger fish to fry with Poonsawat.

I tend to find that finish is always a fitting manner to end any discussion with regards Bernard.

Hi Wolverine, your welcome, I'm really glad the glove went down well and you had a good christmas.

Sorry for digging this post up again, but I was hoping this would score me some brownie points and someone would help me out lol. I am trying to get a good conditioned poster of a John Duddy fight with him topping the bill. It's for a boxing club, I have posters of the majority of the big names in ireland except duddy. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction of obtaining one?

    Any help is much appreciated
