Hopefully yvel leaves the refs alone and attacks the ufc judges instead:) he would not hear any complaints from the fans or dana

Melvin to strikeforce is a good move for him in a sense, means he will likely be still able to fight in Japan should he wish and also in K1. A move to UFC would have tied him to the UFC for the duration. His last K1 fight with Remy Bonjasky was a cracker and is worth checking out.

That said there would definitely have been more than 1 good fight for him in the UFC and on a bigger stage. Lets just hope he fixes that gaping hole in his game that is the arm bar ;)

Joe Rogan was on at Joe Silva to sign Manhoef according to Dave Meltzer, but Silva just couldn't see the upside in it because there are too many wrestlers in the UFC who would more than likely be taking Manhoef down at will and making him look ordinary

At least with Strikeforce they can protect/showcase him a little more by keeping him with primarily stand-up based fighters

I love Manhoef - he is one of the most exciting fighteers on the circuit - but is he actually mad or is it just the roids???

    Manhoef/Cung Le.....this would be fantastic.

Have to agree with Joe Silva's assertion though, Manhoef has zero ground game or TDD. Manhoef/Anderson would be savage if it stayed on the feet, he's like Tyson on PCP.

Edit: Forgot about good oul Gilbert actually. Supposedly facing JDS at 108, that could be a cracker. Dos Santos should be wary though, Yvel may be mental but he has some power. Hopefully his balls have dropped back into place after Wanderlei kicking them into orbit
