Did I hear it correctly on the radio earlier that Westlife are playing Croker on June 6th? That's the pitch in bits again for the championship. When will they ever learn.

When they have it paid for...... Yeah I think you heard it right. Not sue of the date of concert

Think concerts will be guarenteed from hear on now that Landsdowne Road is nearly ready. They will need serious revenue just to maintain the place.

It might force them to play more games outside Croke Pk which will be good for places like Navan, Portlaois, Newbridge and Tullamore, and probably no harm for Dubs either.

Think its June 5th for this one, but will prob be another date anyway. And there will be a third one at some stage I'm sure.

June 5th? If anyone wants to make my dreams come true on my birthday.......DONT BUY ME A TICKET!!! :D Seriously tho, something like 1.8 million a game from the IRFU and FAI. Will be hugely missed by the GAA im sure so concerts will be the main thing to pay off the debts. Wouldnt have the stadium we do today without the extra income so cant complain really. Just hope it doesnt interfere with the surface too much.

Sorry, to add to that, i know a good few people that had never ever been to Croker and went to either a concert, rugby game or footie game and really want to go to see a GAA match there now so im sure it has brought in more interest. Dont think people realise how amazing the place is until they see it in person and then they get hooked :)
