Long story short i entered into a scheme to buy shares in the company i worked for instead of getting an xmas bonus for the last few years. At the time they told us if we took them out before the 3 years we would have to pay tax on them. Thats all ok. Now 3 years are up they are saying i have to move them to a brooker (they mentioned nothing aout this at the time but as allways im thinking its stuck somewhere in the T&C'S).

Problem is the couple of thousand euro worth of shares are now worth around 30 euro and all the brokers are charging 45 euro upwards to move them. One has even claimed that if they are worth less than 400 euro they will just sell them and send me the money less a fee of 85 euro !

Now i was planning to hold onto the shares for a few years untill things pick up but i dont want to be paying hundreds of euros to a brooker to just hold them. Is there any that will hold them for free and then charge a % on the final sale etc ?

I do not blame you. I would not be willing to pay a brooker that much either!
