Dunno if the RRP dropped on these (?), not really advertising it on the site as being a good deal.
    http://www.powercity.ie/?par=20-35-183044&pages=1&prod=183044&brands=SONY

Possibly a pricing error thinking its the old style one which goes for €250. The 120gb slim is £244 on amazon still so its a good price, and local store for warranty.

the 250GB is £270 on amazon I got 88p on paypal the other day, so about €306

Just bumping this, I never typed the word playstation 3 so searchers might miss it. Got mine today and it is also €250 instore alongside the old one which is also €250. This makes me think its a misprice even more, no mention of it being a deal/offer. If buying instore I would have tried to get a free HDMI cable with it.

Also check the gaming forums, found this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055759897

It's back to 250 now. A little annoying, but still a great bargain. My house was broken into over the weekend and my ps3, along with 20+ games, was stolen. Hoping to pick up a replacement this week.

yeah it was a weekend discount only.

Must have only been sunday so, I got mine on saturday. They do tend to change offers a lot, €235 is a bizarrely low price.

I was looking online and the cheapest I have seen in the UK was £225 in zavii. You would need to be about £220 to match €250 (using actual exchange rates I got last week on CC, none of this XE nonsense).

ah balls, it was too good to last, it was 235 for a time, obviously a mistake. And still incorrectly showing the RRP as 280..

Back to 235 now! What's going on with Powercity I wonder?

    :D

280 now. I have been after one for a few months with no hurry to get it. In the past it was 300 instore and 280-290 online price. Seems they had a 10%off at the weekend and it was 252 yesterday which was 280 minus 10%. Now it is back at the 280 as the 10% promotion is over. 250 must have been a mistake as I said, and it might have been discounted a small bit during the (up to ) 10% off sale.

Harvey normans might still be doing it for 250

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭positron

Oh yeah, I see it now. I had one sitting at the shopping basket for 235...! It's now 280 indeed.

That means Harvey Norman is now the cheapest - A first time ever for Hardly Normal! :D

Power city will have them reduced next weekend too I reckon!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,591 ✭✭✭PWEI

Don't think it was.I was watching every day last week and the beginning of this week and it it was €279.If it was €255 I would have bought one but ended up buying a 2nd hand console from adverts. Its actually jumped up in price now to €299 on powercity's website.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 255 ✭✭Iamhere

Im fairly sure it was, and the 250GB was 318, but it went up again the next day, i ordered mine from did.ie on Thursday, was 279, but got it for 254 as I used a 25 voucher i got for signing up for their newsletter...

well if they do some substantial price cut in argos within 30 days of my purchase I'm simply buying another one of whatever it is and returning it with old receipt - that also extending warranty a little bit

and "D.I.D Electrical will accept the return of any product, which is in its original condition and packaging and resalable within a month of purchase."

    Hi guys,

They still a have link to the offer here:

    http://www.buy4now.ie/DID/aspx/Contentwide.aspx?id=437

But when I click on the link it does not seem to be working?
    http://www.buy4now.ie/DID/content/Sign%20up%20TandC/430

DID also have 9% off everything (Code: DID9%OFF)

I'd like to see if is is possible to apply both codes if I can get the first one working?

Anyone else able to get the voucher?
