Broadband in maynooth

Hey peeps, we have rang ntl and they said that only tv is available to us and not broadband, we are just off the main street. Does anyone know any broadband providers around the area apart from the pay as you go ones? Do we need a phone line before getting broadband, i think we have a cable line. I don't know much about…
