This may be a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question, but how respected are online degrees? I can't find my course (digital forensics) part time and i don't think i can afford full time education, wondering if i'd be wasting my time getting an online degree. This does exclude open university, i know they're well respected, but they don't have my course.

Basically, it boils down to who/which institution is issuing the degree, their accreditation and how respected they are.
