It appears EA are going to be making a modern warfare version of the Medal of Honour franchise.

Apparently they are going for a more authentic modern warfare feel, so no akimbo shotguns, this could be a good thing. However i can't see them making a better game than IW going by some of the recent MOH games.

What do you guys think of this?

Ah, cant see that being great.CoD always had the upper hand vs MoH with the WWII games. Does sound like a bit of a rip-off too cos they know modern sells now, even reading about "Tier 1 Operators", very similar to TaskForce141.

Apart from the lack of realism (ie Uber nazi gattling gun end of level types & the fantasy location at the end of game level) in medal of honour Airbourne it was not that bad imo. I would be into seeing what they do with it.

I cant access the site from here but from what I've heard its being developed by EA Studios in LA and DiCE. That cant be a bad thing.
Would love it they went old school on the multiplayer though. The grinding in Call of Duty is getting annoying now.

i was a fan of MOH airbourne aswell & if they made the multi player a bit more realistic than MW2 i would deffo buy it. some of the stuff goin on in Mw2 is really anoying at times.

DICE are handling the multi player aspect while EA LA are doing the single player. Suggests to me that maybe they'll use the new DICE engine tech for it... though it would be nice for them to use the crytek3 cross-platform engine!

I particularly liked the leveling up effect in Airborne that could be seen in the single player campaign regarding weapons etc. It would be nice to mix the "challenge" aspect into the Single Player and not just the MP
