What are the rewards for prestiging?

When you prestige what do you get besides an emblem??
Extra custom classes??How many and when do you get them?
If I got to level 70 and didnt prestige, would it take a long time before I complete all challenges for all guns? Even handguns:o
Has anybody ever completed every single challenge?? Pistols, shotguns....all of them?

Thinks its 1 custom class for each prestige and a few titles+ emblems.Thats all

I would like more custom clots but I don't see myself resetting all my weapons just for that.

The thing is though, if you don't prestige and go ahead and do all the weapon challenges, you will lose all that if you decide to prestige down the line. So it's safer to get the pristiges done first and then do the weapon challenges.

Yeah I suppose. I dont play no were near to get to 10 prestiges but, if the COD thats out next November is like COD WAW($hit:D) then I might keep playing CODMW2 for the two years, like alot of people did with CODMW1.:)
Il probably get to 3 prestiges by next November. If I play it a good bit.

Yeah you get an extra custom class per prestige level, a new emblem and title or two.
You also get new challenges on weapons (veteran and master iirc), so it makes even more sense to prestige first and then do the weapon challenges at the end when they're all unlocked.

What do u mean by unlocking new challenes on weapons? As far as I'm aware the only reward is new titles and emblems, I'm still not convinced there would be new custom class slots. Fall on my SCAR took long enough once. Anyone know about golden guns?

New challenges on weapons are veteran and mastery iirc. Get 500 kills with a weapon, and you unlock a new title. They're seperate from the attachment challenges and the others.

What is the actual effect when you prestige? I'm a good distance off it yet, but was thinking about a few questions to do with it.

Let's say you've unlocked everything to do with the SCAR and then prestige. You start from level 1 so don't have access to the the SCAR until you get to level 8. But when you get to level 8 and unlock the SCAR, do you have to unlock all the attachments again, or are they available immediately?

If you don't have them, do you get the same XP for unlocking them?

People mentioned before that once you get to level 70, you are wasting XP when you unlock the attachments for weapons. But if you have to unlock them again after Prestiging, I'm not sure whether there is much benefit anyway. Yes, you get the extra classes, but you aren't getting to a point where you have all guns unlocked either. So is there a point where you have maxed out the prestige, and can just have everything unlocked?

Obviously if you do get all the attachments as you unlocked previously completed guns, then this point is moot.

When you prestige everything resets except for your leaderboards history, your titles, accolades and emblems.

You basically start over.

All your challenges(you still get the xp from doing them again), weapons, attachments, camos get reset. you do get a new group of prestige challenges and each weapon gets 2 new challenges with kinda glowy green writing(im only on my first prestige but i heard the prestige challenges dont reset ever). Sorry if i forgot anything i would check but im not able to go on my xbox right now :P

Theres lots of titles and emblems you can only get through prestiging and a new custom class.

I know it sounds like a pain but it gives you a chance yo try out weapons you never really gave a chance before:)

You get nothing but an extra custom slot a few new badges and some extra chalanges.
Yes you loose everything and start again from scratch.
I didnt see the point until I got to level 70 and started finding it boring without the chalanges and level up.
I am now using a completly diferent set of stratagies but of course now I know the maps and the camping spots (both where to kill campers and to camp when I am on for a kill streak) its definitly worth doing at least once and like that guy says if I play over a long time I will probably do it over again.

I think I read it's only on 1,3,5,7,9 prestige you get another custom class.

They are not available from the start. They're prestige specific challenges that are highlighted in glowing green font as someone said above. They rank up with the weapon challenges you already have but they don't get reset the next time you prestige. You do these challenges for the extra prestige titles you can get(and the extra xp), which include all weapons, the killstreaks and various perks/equipment (The Silent, The Stand etc.)

as fair as I know its: 500 kills for grey title with weapon name
250 headshots for above with headshot icon
1000 kills for silver weapon emblem
1500 kills for silver skulls title and weapon name
500 headshots for gold weapon emblem
1000 headshots for gold skulls title and weapon name

No, they carry on through prestiges. All the weapon specific prestige challenges carry on, as do the prestige killstreak specific ones and prestige silencer/knife/last stand etc. challenges.

I really enjoyed my 1st level of prestige and trying to get to level 70,I used the sniper rifles more and generally went on the attack with the assualt rifles, currently on level 50 of prestige 2 and dont fancy it at all, im constantly changing my setup and gear.

At the moment I sont have a favourite loadout as i change it depending on how im feeling, this doesnt really help my K/D whihc is on 1.11 at the moment but prior to prestige it was about 1.17 at its highest.

Thats the prestige ones, they pulse green, which I think that's what your talking about. The rest do, which are the amount of kills, headshots at the top, and all weapon attachments and camos

I really want 15 custom slots . Dunno what I'll use em for though :P . Probably 7 different classes with the P90, it's just that awesome.

Which ones are you talking about, I have the badge for mastery still but all the challanges, unlocks had to be done again.

I'm on my 3rd prestige and I have never regretted it. You start to use different weapons than your first round of this game, and I enjoy unlocking all of them! I get bored at 70, but I love tha ak 47
