Job Seekers Allowance and Self Employment

I have been on job Seekers allowance for a few months now and I am considering coming off it as my self employed income is increasing and starting to get steadier.
When I applied I was means tested and declared my self employed income.
Anyway, to cut a massively long story short - when will I be reassessed for the means test? Does it happen annually?
I was previously panicking about my average income over the year going above that in the means test - but having read more I believe this is now acceptable to a degree.
I am still undecided as to exactly when to come off as I will not get any income over the 3 or 4 weeks of CHristmas (the way this thing works relates to school holidays).
Is it worth going in to discuss this? If so how long would it take for me to get an interview if I requested one? I was thinking I may as well guage it myself, as I am within the rules to save the hassle of having to wait for an interview.
