Hi I am looking at screeds for first floor underfloor heating in a timberframe. I have a geothermal quotation and they recommend 50mm of dry screed with pipes laid between battons nailed to the osb along the floor joists. I would like to hear of any comments on firstly the thickness on upstairs and secondly the battons. I presume they will be installed at 12 or 16 inch spacing.
