Rootsudo under Ubuntu

Hi

Whenever i give my password to allow a root like command like Update Manager-does this mean that for 15 minutes my computer is running as a full root user?

It means it won't ask *you* for your password again for sudo commands for the next few minutes. Pretty sure you can change this to require password every time.

Edit the /etc/sudoers file (using visudo) and change the defaults line from

Defaults    !lecture,tty_tickets,!fqdn

to

Defaults    !lecture,tty_tickets,timestamp_timeout=0,insults,!fqdn

Haha. I hadn't seen the insults options before. That's another good thing about Linux, you can put funny **** like that in to your code without having to fear retribution from the boss / man!!
