Passport number question

I'm applying for my 2nd stage defacto spouse visa and form is asking for the numbers of all the passports I've ever held. I'm pretty sure I've had 2, so I know the current one. My old one is back in Ireland and my mum can't find it anywhere. Do you know is there any way to find out what your old passport numbers were?

I've tried calling the embassy in Canberra but they keep some weird office hours. I'll try again but in the meantime any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thanks :)

Try the passport office in Dublin.

Thanks Victor. I gave them a call and they have told me that I need to apply in writing to the Embassy in Canberra. Apparently they'll be able to get the info for me but the passport office can't give me that info over the phone.

Just thought I'd post the here in case anyone wants to know in the future. :)
