    Hey folks,

I'm currently using a woofer which drives my speakers and takes the audio signal also in my recording/mixing setup

It's from the Creative I-Trigue 2.1 system, and the speakers are
    Behringer Truth B2030p

Unfoortunately I've to give the woofer back to its owner and would like to get one for myself.

Just wondering if anyone would have any recommendations for me to take a look at before I commit to a product. In the €80 - €130 price range.

    Thanks

That would be a "no" then.

I agree with Paul. Dindins would be much more satisfying. Are those your main studio monitors? Double your money and go for Tannoys at least. Forget about subwoofers also.

I would like to upgrade the speakers, but it being Christmas and all, I don't have any money to allocate, this is a stop gap measure as I don't want to stop working on tracks and I'm happy with the results I've got so far.

That extra "oomph" the woofer was giving to drum and bass tracks (I jam over loops I create using amplitube through the computer) is quite fun. I know expensive gear may sound better but it would be a bit snobbish for me to tell someone not to bother buying a guitar if they were asking about a squire or ephipone model instead of a €2000 model.

€300 for Tannoys is not a lot of money...

How is that? Doubling your budget will get you a vast, i.e. more than double, improvement in monitoring. Your point about snobbishness and EUR2000 guitars was... missing the point.

Plus, f you're going to be dismissive when people try to help, then you're not going to get much help!
