    People,

Want some very quick opinions to make sure im on the right track.
I just sold my canon 1000d and kit lens for €30 more than i paid for it last Christmas (:D) and am after an upgrade. I've a deal 99% completed for a used 40d that involves me putting apporx €100 towards after my above sale. The 40d was used by a wedding photographer and has aporx 8000 clicks (my 1000d was sold with 5800)

Am i making the right choice? My budget is €430-450 max. I want generally a better / higher spec camera . I know the 40d has, amongst other features faster frames per sec and higher iso.

I've virtually made up my mind, but am hoping for some quick opinions from others. Is there a different used canon i should be after. 50d is over budget but haven't considered anything else

I think you'll enjoy the 40D. It's a very good model and should be a nice upgrade from yours.

    Enjoy.

Yes. I am on my second 40D and it is a camera that I just love. I just don't feel the need to upgrade from it at all.

Ì am a Nikon user but I would agree that you should go for the Canon 40D, very nice camera and a good upgrade from what you previously had.
    Good luck with it.

Your old 1000D will feel like a plastic toy camera compared to the 40D.

It's an absolute machine compared to the 1000D and I couldn't recommend it enough.
