I started my new job on the 28th sep, i filled out the appropriate form so that i didn get emergency taxed and got my tax credits form from the tax office on the 7th oct. Now in my last wages which was the 25th nov i was taxed nearly half my wages, i wasnt too fussed coz i jus borrowed the money knowin everythin would be ok for this months wages, i also brought my tax credits form into work and got that emailed to payroll jus to make certain i wouldn be taxed again. Now i got an email today sayin that they had no records of my tax credits in payroll and that id be emergency taxed this month too. Wat am i suppose to do, is it my jobs fault or the tax office. Mods feel free to move this, wasnt too sure where to put it.

I'd ring the tax office and have your PPS number ready.

Ask them to reissue your cert of tax credits to both yourself and your employer- make sure they have the correct address for both!

You should get a copy in the mail at much the same time as your employer.

    Hi

Your own certificate of tax credits you got on 7 October should be enough to at least take you off emergency tax and put you onto week one at least.

    Regards

    Hi,

as DBran says above, call the tax office ASAP. The last day for issuing Tax Credit Certs for 2009 is fast approching! ( I think its somewhere between 12 - 14 Dec). Your not going to "Lose" any overpaid tax one way or another, but i realise it'd be nice to get it back before the xmas. good luck!!!
