I'm thinking of planning an RTW trip, does anyone know of any good chat websites for travellers?

I think you're about 8 years too late for a chatroom.

How about some message boards? I use bootsnall.com. Not as many people on it nowadays. But even the old threads on it are useful.

I'm sorry but you're becoming a bit ridiculous at this stage. Just get off your ass, decide where you want to go and make a plan. You'll never do a RTW with your current approach.

The Thorn Tree forums over on Lonely Planet can be useful. Some posters there are prats but if you search old threads you'll get tons of info.

I've had my run-ins on that site too. Even though its the most comprehensive travel message board I know of.

The run-ins I have had are with very regular posters that guard their private region like their own little kingdom. They want to be seen as experts on a country or region. They are awful.

I use the forum on www.travelblog.org

It's the only place where I've found people will give you honest advice without the next person shooting them down. Your questions will be answered pretty quick and only people who can answer the question seem to answer it.
