Setting up UPC first timer

    Hey guys im just after getting upc installed this morning 20 mb in limerick , I just would like to know is there anything i need to do set it up correctly , its currently only d/l at 8mbs instead of the 20 any suggestions ?

    Did you test the speed using speedtest.net? Are you using a wireless connection?

    tested with magnet like advised by UPC tech guy and yes its wireless , he said changing the channels generally helps , is there anything i missed when setting it up?

    Wireless often effects speed, depending on a lot of things, so you can't trust the result. Connect using an Ethernet cable, and then see what you get.

    Its the exact same with ethernet i just dont understand why the hell it aont working like
