    hi all,

lookin for some help here if i can get it.

i have been doing boxing for a few months now. i started years ago but never stuck with it and decided toget back into it.

lately in sparring i keep getting a very sore elbow. i dont think im hyper-entending it. it just seems when i block shots i get a sharp shooting pain through my left arm. even when i catch a shot on my glove its so sore that id rather take the jab in the face. am i holding my ams too loose or something. i am trying to stay relaxed in the ring and not burn out unnecessary energy.

    am i doing something wrong?

Sounds like you have an elbow injury, get Glucosimine and Chondrotin from a health store and take it 3 times a day, its amazing and not a gimmick.

As far as why your getting it, that depends, either your hyper extending or taking punches on the arm and letting the elbow bend towards your head which also would be straining the joint.

Or you simply injured iot before and it needs time to heal, the supplements above will aid this quickly.

Proper nutrition and supplementation certainly help and the ones mention above are good, do what they say on the tin type supplements. Id also throw in a good omega 3 supp as well. Shop around though cuz with glucosamine supplements the quality/quantity and price can vary greatly.
Id also go to a phyiso for an assesment because if its muscle/tendon/ligament issues then they need to be addressed through treatments/exercise. Even if its too rule them out.

see a physion, they can tell in 2 minutes if it is a tendon or ligament issue it will only cost €50-55. Your club might even be able to get it for you cheaper
