Can I get a better broadband deal

Hi guys. Just looking for some advice. I am living on the east side of Galway city and am currently with Irish Broadband. Just looked at my online invoice and didn't realise I was paying so much each month.:eek:

My package is: Irish Broadband - Breeze 2mb 24:1 €29.74 ex VAT
+Net Secure €3.26 ex VAT
____________________________
Total €40.09 INCL VAT

Just wondering if there is a better deal out there for me. I don't have a phone line so eircom is out and I don't want to get NTL as I swore I would never use them again after the appauling TV service I got from them:mad:. Also, do I need Net secure(I never remember asking for it). Many thanks in advance for your help.

The Net Secure is F-Secure anti-virus/firewall software are you even using it?

If not then cancel that to save a few boob. You can use the following free alternatives:

- Free Built in windows firewall
- Free Anti-Virus - Microsoft Security Essentials

If you exclude NTL, then you have little or no alternatives.

You could look at wireless midband products using 3G from vodafone, o2, etc. for about €20 per month, but the service would be inferior then Irish Broadband.
