How do you setup U.S PSN account?

Hi ,
I am guessing that you just setup a new user on your ps3 then signup for PSN , but saying that you live in the U.S , correct ?

Only problem is when I get to the last step ( address) it won't take a U.S address , keeps saying " recheck address".. I am using a valid address??? of a business partner.

Can anyone please help , I have a chance of a U.S BETA key , so now in z panic to use it quick .

Use a different address....make one up if you have to. Use zip 90210. Worked for me.

@ Mods: Can we get a sticky with FAQs or something to help.....;)

Thanks fingers, I'm guessing you used berverly hills California 90210 , or does it need the city , state & zip to match ?

correct me if I'm wrong but It wont matter what address you have. When you connect your PS3 to the network it will know you are not in the US because of your IP.
You just have to wait for the euro PSN to get all the awesome stuff they have

Nah it doesnt matter... once you have an american address! Ive bought plenty of stuff from Yank store too, with no problems!

Skinfull you can set up a US account and download everything they have no probs ( its only the US video store thats ip locked)

mixednuts the city address has to match the zip eg seattle zip 98121

I have another question if u can help.....

I have a battlefield bad company 2 beta key , but I was told to goto psn store, then "redeem codes " and enter the code .
Problem is the code seems to longer than the fixed fields, am I in the right place for entering the beta key?

Sorry about all the questions, it's my first time to use a BETA

:o it was only when I pasted it onto this forum that I noticed the small dash seperating each section

ah well to late now , all the keys used !
