    if i want to determine whether or not a set (V) spans sets for R3 how should i start out or what is the best method, gauss any use?

    ps:sorry for using the forum for self help recently just a bit lost with some exams

    If 3 vectors in your set are linearly independent then they span R3. Your set probably only has 3 vectors so all you have to do is show they're lin ind. You can do that using row reduction or determinants.
