Anyone going skiing for a long weekend (thursday - monday) in Europe ?

Desperate to go off skiing for a few days in Europe and don't have anyone to go with at the moment ! Sooooo, if anyone here is going for a weekend/long weekend timeframe before xmas and is looking for an extra person (I'm normal 25 yr old male) to ski anywhere with really, let me know !

Well you're a dirty dirty skier so I wouldn't count you as normal!

About the only chance I'd say you have is tagging along with a group already booked that had someone drop out. I'd been talking to a chalet owner who specifically did short break stays and he was saying that even back in October he was more or less fully booked through December and any other chalets he knew of were the same.

Guess people were betting on the snow being as good as last winter.

Im heading away 26th-29th dec with the GF, and then 17th - 26th Feb with my brother and a few mates, both trips Munich-Oberstdorf. I'm allowed 1 more trip to the snow outside of these 2 above, so looking for somewhere a little different for maybe Mid-Late Jan/Early Feb/March.

Skiing/Snowboarding, not looking for lessons, renting gear, travelling light, cheap as chips. Would like to hook up with a group or someone with similar plan for long weekend or week, either is good...

Sounds good Lemony, would be interested in that. Long weekend more likely or even possibly a week (but would need to know dates etc) would be open to both. Have my own ski gear, keep me posted

Dates aren't a problem for me... so whatever is the cheapest is the best. Cheap ryanair or aerlingus to central europe and a short jaunt on a train?

You can ski pretty much any day you decide if you fly into Munich airport. Aerlingus fly 7 days and its about an hours drive to the area. Closest resort in it is Itter but near by is soll westendorf ellmau and about 6 others on the same ski pass but great skiing.Largest linked area in Austria. Saturday to saturday is mostly charter flights austrian airlines to Innsbruch.

Id be interested in that too .Im going snowboarding to check out the new evil twin jan 9th .Me and a mate have all our own gear etc too so we'd be onfor tagging along with a group as the rest of the group we travel with can only do 1 ski hol due to work /financial constraints.

Plus,most of the cheap deals require at least 4 people to get cheap accomodation
